Also, if the synthetic 10w-40 oil flows sooner than other non-synthetic and/or high viscosity oils, then one will not need to wait until the cylinder is hot to the touch to drive. By the way, the camshaft is not loaded any more, on take off then on idleing as long as the revs. are kept to a reasonable speed, until the oil and engine warm up.
